I recently tested out some Matcha from The Matcha Reserve in this green tea mask that is supposed to promote hair growth and shine. You can watch the video below to see my results.
I used 1/3 cup of the organic Matcha and added Olive Oil until I got the consistency I desired. I applied the mixture to my freshly washed, damp hair and scalp. It goes on really easy and actually isn’t too messy, except for my hands lol. I focused on applying the mixture to my scalp to promote good blood flow, reduce dandruff and flakes. I also applied the mixture to my ends to help promote shine and strengthen my hair. Then, I applied a grocery bag/shower cap and let it set for about a half an hour. I co-washed in the shower until all of the mask was out.
This green tea hair mask reminds me a lot of a henna treatment It even smells like henna. It definitely left my hair soft and bouncy. But, as for shine, nah son. My hair does not enjoy the luxury of shine and only a miracle can make that happen. Overall, I liked this mask and will definitely put it in my hair routine rotation. Have you ever tried Matcha tea? Whether, you have used it has a hair mask or as skincare or as a drink ley me know.
